Artist Biography
Isabelle Jérôme is an award-winning, Ottawa-based, artist who has found her creative passion in the captivating world of watercolour.

From a young age, Isabelle has always been interested in the arts and worked with a variety of mediums including graphite, acrylics, and soapstone. Once she discovered watercolour, she immediately fell in love with its transparency, accessibility, and challenges. As a high school art teacher, she hopes to share her enthusiasm and spread her love for the medium to younger generations.

Being mostly self taught, Isabelle is continuously exploring different techniques and styles, but she enjoys painting detailed, representational art. Her work is inspired by the wonders of nature and the beauty of everyday life; whether it being a landscape, an animal or a snack eaten along the way.

Isabelle is active in the art scene throughout the city and surrounding area. She is a member of various organizations and galleries including the Foyer Gallery Artists’ Association, the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, Arts Carleton Place, and the Ottawa School of Art. Her works have been accepted in juried exhibitions and her paintings can be found in private collections here in Canada and abroad.
